Directorate General for Modernization
The Directorate General for Modernization, dependence on the regional Vice Ministry for Public Administration of the Valencia region, is in charge for the development of the next competencies, among others:
- Planning, managing, promoting and executing of the policies of the Valencia regional government in the field of the modernization of the region and the public sector and the Public Administration
- Driving and developing active policies that guarantee the rights of the citizens related to access to the quality eServices provided by the Public Administration through new ICT
- Planning, promoting and developing schemes, services and advanced multiplatform systems for the provision of eServices to the citizenship
- Promoting and developing the eGovernment in the Valencia Public Administrations
- Relationship with the ICT sector
- Designing, executing, managing and coordinating the policies of the Valencia regional government related to the infrastructures and the telecommunications networks related to the Generalitat and its public sector
- Developing, managing and executing the coordination policies of the corporative telecommunications services and the information systems of the Generalitat
- Coordination with the other Public Administrations in the field of information and communication technologies
- Promoting and participation of ICT projects at regional, national European and international level
- Approving of practices and policies of digital certification. The Director General represents the Digital Certification Authority of the Valencia region.
